This ballet is FUN, magical, beautiful, touching, and impressive! You will be taken on a journey throughout the performance and fall in love with the characters along the way.

About The Snow Queen Fairytale

Based upon the book by Hans Christian Andersen, this tale is one of good and evil, with exciting and beautiful magic spread along the way. Fall in love with the two young children Gerda and Kai. Be captivated by the beautiful cherubs, adorable Goslings, the naughty White Fox, a Gypsy clan, a magical Reindeer, and Penguins of every size. Grieve as the Snow Queen wonders if she will ever be able to fully feel love and joy again. Rejoice as love conquers all in this remarkable classic displayed brilliantly by the artists on stage.

The 2 p.m. Show VIP seats are sold out, but General Admission are still available. The 7 p.m. show still has seats while they last! Don’t wait to get your ticket as these will go quickly!

Tickets are available at The Royal Ballet of Iowa’s website or at the door the night of the event.

For tickets purchased in advance the price is $16 for VIP and $10 for general admission.
For tickets purchased at the door the price is $21 for VIP (if available) and $15 for general admission.

grace snow queen ElsaElsa will be the narrator before the show, and children are welcome to come sit on the stage and listen to her share The Snow Queen story with them. We know how much our littles LOVE Elsa, so what a perfect opportunity to meet and greet and get up close to the Ice Princess.

About The Royal Ballet of Iowa

The Royal Ballet of Iowa is a pre-professional ballet company which allows Iowa dancers the opportunity to perform while raising money for college scholarships.

Connected to the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) through Artistic Director Anna Horváth, The Royal Ballet of Iowa was founded in 2005 and was originally named Principle Dance Corps.

Director Anna Horváth is the only registered teacher with the RAD in the state of Iowa and provides an amazing opportunity for those who wish to pursue their dreams of dance after high school.
