We’re honored to feature UnityPoint Clinic. The compassionate, coordinated, patient-focused care provided by their teams and staff is remarkable and we are grateful for everything they are doing for our community families on a daily basis.
UnityPoint Clinic is a part of UnityPoint Health, one of the nation’s most integrated health systems. UnityPoint Health, started right here in Des Moines, now consists of more than 24,000 employees, 280 clinic locations, 29 hospitals in metro and rural communities and home care services throughout Iowa and Illinois.
Our clinic locations in Des Moines have experts in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Pediatrics and a wide variety of specialty services to meet all your health care needs. Your UnityPoint Health physician is not just contributing to your care, but also leading a team that surrounds you with care and includes you in decision-making to develop a plan of action.
One of the great things about our “family of care” is…our family of care! It’s so nice for our patients to go from working with our OB group, to delivering at our hospital, using our pediatricians and – though you never want to need it – knowing they would be referred to one of our expert specialists at Blank if needed! We are so proud of the services we offer our patients.
Our New Moms Event was held a few weeks ago and our mamas were thrilled to have the chance to meet and learn from Dr. Mely Mathew, Pediatrician at UnityPoint Pediatrics – Lakeview. It was an honor to get the chance to connect with her in person and learn more about her.
Dr. Mathew completed her medical education at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre in Cochin, India. She completed her residency at John H. Stroger Hospital in Chicago, IL. She is accredited by the American Board of Pediatrics. Her interests include preventative care, developmental pediatrics, obesity managements, adolescent medicine, newborn care, skin, rashes and asthma. When she isn’t at the clinic, you will be able to find her enjoying social media, traveling, cooking, home decor and spending time with her family.
