Winter is turning into spring! With the weather warming, we all know our kiddos are going to need new clothes. But maybe they don’t need all NEW clothes. Perhaps some gently used wardrobe pieces will do.
I absolutely love consignment shopping for my daughter. With a second child on the way, I’m all about pinching pennies.
You can bet I will be checking in to several of these upcoming Des Moines area consignment sales:

Take 2 Des Moines
April 26-29
Knapp Animal Learning Center, Iowa State Fairgrounds
3000 E. Grand Avenue, Des Moines
This was the first kids’ consignment sale I ever attended when my daughter was a baby, and I was astonished at how big it was! It’s packed to the brim with gently used children’s, teen, and maternity clothing; toys; books; furniture; and more. I always stock up on seasonal items, clothes, and toys that would be expensive to buy new.
These sales aren’t just for shoppers. If you’re looking to do some spring cleaning, these are great sales at which to sell YOUR gently used items. Get specifics about how to do so on the various websites.
If our baby on board ends up being a boy, I’ll be right there with you in the consignment line with about 12 totes of girl clothes to sell!
Happy shopping (or selling). Check out my tips for being successful on both ends of the consignment sale spectrum!
