My husband says I’m the worst person to shop for. He says I’m “too picky, too impatient, and too hard to buy anything.” In reality, I just happen to know exactly what I want and often times there are limited quantities available (which means I just buy whatever I want right then. You never know when a sale will end?!?)
This year I received a pre-Christmas present from Massage Heights – Lakepointe Center, a massage and facial – the gift that is never wrong or ill-timed. I mean, really, have you ever met a mom who didn’t want a massage or facial?
My experience
If first impressions are everything, Massage Heights Lakepointe Center nailed it. You walk in the door and are greeted with soothing music and relaxing aromatherapy scents. Just exhale …
As you walk through the hallway to your treatment room, the lights are dimmed and the sound of running water fills your ears. Everything just oozes relaxation.
My massage therapist discussed the level of pressure I prefer and had me pick out which aromatherapy scent I wanted for my massage. She identified that my shoulders need some extra attention (hello, toting around a toddler all day long and sitting in front of a computer) and immediately went to work. But my favorite moments were my hand and foot massage. I carry tension in all the normal places, but having extra attention applied to my underappreciated hands and feet, was much needed.
If I thought my massage was wonderful (which it completely was), my facial was out of this world. This can be evidenced by the number of times I dozed off and snorted (yes, I apparently snort when I’m completely and totally relaxed).
I didn’t think I could be any more relaxed after my massage, but I was wrong. My skincare specialist was knowledgeable and had a soothing touch. My facial started off with cleansing and was followed by exfoliation, a mask, toning, and moisturizer interspersed with massage. It was glorious. Absolutely glorious. Especially the scalp massage!

What a great giveaway!
Honestly I think it was when I was sick LOL. Not too relaxing.
I just had baby girl number two, so it’s been a long time!
Awesome giveaway!
Ahhhh, this sounds like the perfect getaway for this mama!
What a fantastic giveaway!! Thank you!!
It has been almost a YEAR. I was just talking with my coworker this morning about how awesome facials are…I have never had one! Would love to win!
Would love to gift this!
Massages seem like a perfect postpartum gift to me! ๐
Believe it or not, I make this a priority so I can be a better mom. I go to yoga multiple times a week, and I actually used a gift certificate for a massage last week (that my husband gave to me last Christmas!)
I got a Groupon for a 60-minute massage about a 18 months ago…never again! This experience sounds like it is the total package and any momma would be deserving.
Love a good massage to take away some of the stress we carry in our bodies!
Oh man. If I had time to relax I would probably grab some coffee and veg out!
Who wouldn’t love this?
I could use some kid free time and this would be the perfect solution.
Now that my kids are in their teens, an hour to myself is much more common, i.e. 45 minutes of yoga followed by 15 minutes on the treadmill today. However, a free 60-minute massage x3 would be sheer bliss!
About 3 years ago before my daughter was born
Sounds like heaven!!
would love this!
The last time I had 60 minutes of relaxation was getting a pedicure a month ago.
I last time I had 60 minutes to myself to relax was last night after my son went to bed. I should have gone to bed when he did, but I like that quiet time for myself. I’m always tired from staying up too late.
A long time ago!
