Come join us for a fun morning of the giant slide, corn pool, hayrides, and of course, picking out your favorite pumpkin! Thanks to our October play date host, Center Grove Orchard, all our mama friends can enjoy $1 off admission to this central Iowa favorite fall destination. Here are some details:
- Our play date starts when the orchard opens. Check in with your name to receive $1 off general admission. Adults and children 3 and over need to purchase an admission sticker. Children 2 and under are free!
- We’ll have a drawing for a gift basket at 10:30 a.m. (must be present to win) near the picnic tables at the Feed Bunk.
- Although our official play date will end at noon, you’re welcome to stay at the orchard as long as you’d like!
About Our Host
Center Grove Orchard, owned and operated by the Larry D. and Pat Black Family, has been open to the public since 1994. They planted their first apple trees in 1986 and now have more than 18 acres with 6,000 apple trees and many delicious apple varieties.
Tips for October Play Date:
- There’s plenty of parking, and Center Grove Orchard is very stroller-friendly!
- It is a bit of a walk to some features (like the giant slide) so make sure everyone has comfy shoes and weather appropriate clothing.
- Be sure to wear clothes that you would be okay getting dust, mud, or chocolate sauce (you gotta try the apple nachos) on.
- There are plenty of places to sit for a snack or lunch. Did you know Center Grove now serves coffee?! Also, The Hay Cafe has booster seats and high chairs and there are picnic tables scattered outside.
- We’ll provide a list to Center Grove Orchard for your discount, but you can print your tickets or show your phone, too!
- In addition to using your phone to check in, we’d love it if you snapped some photos of your kiddos having fun and tag us on social media!
