In addition to everything you would expect from any Aveda Salon, Trixie’s offers a color lounge that guests relax in and receive complimentary services that they pick from a menu. If the guest does not receive two of the complimentary services they requested, their whole color service is FREE!! Oh, and did we mention they have free Wi-Fi? They stand by their mission and what they represent as an Aveda Salon.
Their Unique Mission Statement
Trixie’s mission statement was created many years ago around a kitchen table while owner Tricia Rivas and her friend were having a cup of coffee and discussing her vision for her new business. Rivas opted for a unique statement that plays with the salon name, and today she proudly displays it in the salon and on the salon’s website.

Our team of Image Consultants specializes in color services and cutting. Each service is tailored to meet your individual needs. We also pride ourselves on our thorough lifestyle consultation before new services.
Our warm and friendly boutique salon now features a color lounge! Our guests relax and process in a cool area with diverse music and relaxing extras, such as a soothing foot soak or hand massage.
Continuing education and training is not only a requirement for us, but a passion. Constant learning helps us bring you new techniques and keeps you excited about your style.
Another passion of ours is keeping active in our community. We are members of the East & South Des Moines Chamber and volunteer/support local charities. You will constantly see us out and about at various events and activities.
