It’s officially summer! The kids are out of school, the days are long, and the pools are open. Des Moines is a great place to be in the summer! We’re looking forward to the Celebrate Waukee Festival, Grimes Governors Days, Des Moines Arts Festival, and more. We hope you use this guide to get out and enjoy all that Des Moines has to offer in June.

Details: A 5K run and a 1 mile run/walk, free children’s fun runs, and a finish line festival with crafts, carnival games, spin art, pancake breakfast, face painting, and more!
