Meet Local Mama Owner Julie
Julie Burroughs is a busy mama just like all of us! Julie is a mom of four and grew up in a rural town in northwest Iowa surrounded by fresh produce from her family’s garden. From an early age through today she remains grounded in the practice of healthy eating. She began making baby food in 2010 as a way to offer her second child a hearty, all-natural alternative to commercial baby food. After giving birth to twin girls in 2013, making fresh baby food became more of a challenge as she fully realized the time constraints on parents. Julie recognized that she could provide an area service that parents desperately need! Soon, larger equipment was sourced, a commercial kitchen established, BPA-free containers were purchased, and Farm Baby Foods was born.

Farm Baby Foods can be found in your local grocer’s freezer section, specifically at both Campbell’s Nutrition locations as well as Wheatsfield Cooperative in Ames. Little Padded Seats and Swell Shop for Baby are a few of the local pickup stores.
