Easy Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

banana muffinsWho else is baking up a storm right now?! My daughter and I had a chance to bake this weekend.

I love baking but I love baking healthier versions even better. All it takes is a few tweaks and you have a healthier option that still tastes just as yummy! It’s a win-win situation. Now more than ever we should be concerned about our health both mentally and physically and the easiest way we can do that is by what we are putting in our mouths.

I’m sharing one of my favorite simple recipes: Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins. This recipe only requires six ingredients, is gluten-free, and is only sweetened by the bananas and chocolate chips. So basically guilt-free! I hope you love these muffins as much as my family did…they didn’t even last a day so I highly recommend doubling the recipe.

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Makes 9 muffins

2 bananas, mashed

1 1/4 cup almond flour

2 tbsp nut butter

1 tsp baking soda

1/4 cup chocolate chips

pinch of salt

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Add muffin liners to muffin pan.

Mash bananas in a bowl.

Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.

Add batter to muffin liners and bake for 15-18 minutes or until cooked through.

What are you baking these days?
