June 30 | Good Guys Heartland Nationals, Iowa State Fair Grounds

July 1 | Live at the Creek Concert Series Kick-Off, Jordan Creek Ampitheater, West Des Moines
5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Free event. Live music by Decoy followed by fireworks at dusk.

July 2, 3 | Principal Park, after the I-Cubs game

July 2 | Yankee Doodle Pops, west terrace, Iowa State Capitol, Des Moines

July 3 | Prairie Meadows, Altoona

July 2–4 | Urbandale Annual 4th of July Celebration
One of the largest celebrations in the area! Fireworks at 10 p.m. at Walker Johnston Park on the 4th, a carnival starting Monday July 2 at 5 p.m., a pancake breakfast, a parade at 10 a.m. on the 4th, and more! Rain date for fireworks is July 5. 

July 3 | Reiman Gardens, Ames

Reiman Gardens will be free to enter after 6 p.m. on July 3 and is a great place to watch the fireworks. If it rains, fireworks will be July 5.

July 3 | All Iowa Bash, 5th Street, Valley Junction
3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Includes inflatables and live music. 

July 3, 4 | Windsor Heights, Colby Park
Come for live music by Abby Normal and food trucks at 6 p.m. Fireworks start at 10 p.m. on July 3. Parade starts at 2 p.m. on July 4.

July 3, 4 | WDM125, West Des Moines
West Des Moines is celebrating 125 years. Parade July 3 at 6:30 p.m. Starts at Valley West Drive and Ashworth Road. 
July 4 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Pool Party at Valley View and Holiday Aquatic Centers, featuring half price admission. 
7 p.m. Community Band Concert at Raccoon River Park Coneflower Shelters followed by fireworks at dusk over Blue Heron Lake in Raccoon River Park

July 4 | Home Base Iowa Fireworks Show, Grimes

July 4 | Waukee Celebration, Centennial Park

Starts at 3 p.m. with a parade through Historic Downtown and ends at Centennial Park with inflatables, food vendors, live music, and more! Fireworks at dusk. 

July 4 | Ames 4th of July Parade
The parade starts at 11 a.m. on Main Street.

July 4 | 4th of July Parade, Norwalk

Iowa League of Heroes is hosting the parade from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Route starts at Norwalk High School.

July 4 | July 4 Celebration, Perry
Parade starts at 10 a.m. at East Perry Plaza. Food, crafts, and kids activities in Pattee Park. Fireworks will begin at dusk.

    We need advice on getting in and out of Raccoon Park for the fireworks tonight. Also tips for entertaining the kids before and after if traffic is bad. Thank you
