Being a mom is hard. We have to support each other within our communities in order to thrive! Des Moines Moms Blog has a mission to connect with local moms both online and in person.
If you have been a DMMB reader for awhile, you may remember Jessica’s honest post about the challenges of finding a mom tribe. The struggle is REAL, ladies!
Our team has discussed the importance of extending a welcoming hand of friendship to moms who are new to the greater Des Moines area, those who are new to motherhood, or those who simply desire to find more mom friends. We see you, and we value you! We also know that no matter how sincerely we express this in our blog posts and social media accounts, many of you may still feel alone, unseen, and undervalued. We’re not okay with that so we’ve hatched up a plan!
Today we’re here to introduce “Coffee With Moms”, which we hope will be a meaningful opportunity for you find your “mom tribe.” This will be a regularly scheduled gathering hosted by DMMB contributors at various coffee shops around Central Iowa. These gatherings will be a relaxed opportunity to connect with some friendly faces, drink some great coffee, and perhaps exchange contact info with your future BFF!
