7 Cleaning Hacks for Busy Moms

cleaning hacksI love to clean.

I know it’s not the norm, but something about a completely clean house makes me happy. When something is messy in my house, I immediately have anxiety about it. The problem? How is it possible to keep anything clean with kids around?

To be honest….it’s not. BUT there are easier ways to clean certain parts of your house that will save you lots of time and energy so you don’t feel like you’re constantly cleaning! I’ve compiled a list of “cleaning hacks” to hopefully make life a little easier!

7 Cleaning Hacks

1. Clean door screens with a lint roller

Use a basic sticky lint roller to remove pet hair and cobwebs from your screen doors. Just move the lint roller all around the screen and voila! Clean screen door.

2. Steam clean the microwave

I despise cleaning the microwave. How does it get so dirty so fast?! Thank goodness for this Angry Mama Microwave Steam Cleaner. You simply add vinegar and water to her, put her in the microwave for 7 minutes, and steam comes from her head to soften microwave dirt and stains.

3. Scrub the garbage disposal

Grab an old toothbrush and use it to clean the gunk out of your garbage disposal splash guard. Simply lift up the guard and scrub it using soap. Say goodbye to a stinky garbage disposal!

4. Refresh toilet brushes

Pour a little Pine-Sol in the bottom of your toilet bowl brush container. Not only will it leave an amazing smelling lemony fresh scent, but it will also help disinfect your brush cleaner.

5. Dust air vents

Air vents are so tricky to clean! There’s just a tiny space, yet they build up dust quickly. Try using a butter knife wrapped in a cloth to get in between those tiny spaces of your air vents!

6. Use Rain-X

Another part of the house I don’t like cleaning is the shower. Our glass shower door builds up shower scum so fast! If you feel the same, next time after cleaning your shower door, spray Rain-X on the door! It helps repel future water scum.

7. Wipe chrome faucets

Want to make your chrome faucets look shiny and brand new? Wipe them down with dryer sheets to make soap and water spots disappear leaving you with sparkly faucets!
