If you’re like me, you love a good book that you can get lost in. Add in the sun, outdoor setting (pool, beach, back porch), a cool drink, AND a good read- and you’re set! I love a good, easy, fun, light beach read and I’m here to share some of my absolute favorites with you! I also added in some more suspenseful reads that are my favorite. While not a typical beach read, I definitely recommend them for anytime!
Kristan Higgins’ books are light, easy, fun reads that remind me of a Hallmark movie. They’re pretty predictable, the setting is lovely, and there’s always a love story. I have read every single one of them and you can really just pick one and go from there. Her new book doesn’t come out until August and you betcha I already pre ordered it!
Elin Hildebrand books are also another great beach read. I’ve read The Identicals, Here’s To Us, Summer People, The Castaways, and The Rumor and enjoyed them all. They’re almost always set in a beach town (like Nantucket) and just have a “feel good” feeling.
Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis I loved this book and finished it quickly. It spoke right to my heart and was fun, honest, raw, and overall wonderful
It Ends With Us By Colleen Hoover I’m not sure if I would classify this as a typical beach read HOWEVER, it was so good and I would recommend it for any summer reading you may be doing! Without giving anything away, it really addresses the complexity of relationships and family dynamics.
One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid I loved this book and couldn’t put it down. It got me thinking too, what would I do in this situation?
The Family Next Door by Sally Hepworth This was a serious page turner and I finished it so quickly! It had me guessing the entire time and I loved the development of the characters!
Lie To Me by J.T. Ellis Another suspenseful page turner that I couldn’t put down.
The Last Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine Oh wow guys- this book was SO good, I devoured it. A great suspenseful read!
I’m sure there are many, many more I could add to this list but better stop here or this will be a never ending post!
What’s on your summer reading list? Share in the comments! Happy reading!
