8 Signs of Potty Training Des Moines Moms BlogPotty training is a milestone every parent enjoys (at least the end product, anyway). Whether it happens at age two or well into three or four, it is always an adventure.

Here are eight sure signs that someone is potty training in your house.

  1. You find yourself asking the toddler (and eventually everyone) if they need to potty. Every 15 minutes.
  2. A potty chart hangs in your bathroom to chart all successful attempts.
  3. Every bag you own is now stuffed with extra underwear, pants, and socks. And possibly an extra pair of shoes.
  4. Laundry has tripled during the week.
  5. The potty chair is the center of your living space.
  6. Every trip outside the house is an adventure. Will we make it without any incidents, or will I forever remember that store as the one my child had an accident in?
  7. Sometimes you have to make the hard decision on whether to wash the underwear or toss them.
  8. Your toddler cheers YOU on when you are successful in your attempt to potty. Because no one goes without an audience anymore.
