4 Ways Amazon Makes My Life Easier

1

amazonI love Amazon. Really who isn’t a Prime member, right? What can’t you find on there?

I wanted to share some features of Amazon you may or may not know about that truly make my life so much easier!

Prime Wardrobe

Prime Wardrobe is kind of like your personally chosen Stitch Fix. If you go to the Prime Wardrobe category, you can select items you would like to try. Amazon will ship them to you for free and not charge you for the items. You try on the items at home, keep the ones you want (and pay for them) and return the ones you don’t want with free return shipping. I have done this for clothing, but the smartest thing I think I did with this was my son’s soccer cleats. With a growing kid, we have to buy a new pair of cleats every season. Instead of going to five stores or hoping a store had a cheaper pair, I threw a couple different sizes and styles in a Prime Wardrobe shipment. My son tried them on at home, decided which pair he wanted, and we returned the rest.

Prime Shipping with Free Returns

Not everything is available in Prime Wardrobe, so if not, I look for the little “Free Returns” tag after an item. If I’m not sure if I’ll need a medium or a large dress, I will order both. I try them on at home and return the one that doesn’t work. I’ve also done this for shoes for my husband since he is sometimes between sizes. When you want to return an item, you can just go to your orders, click the item you want to return, and Amazon will send you a return label.

Subscribe and Save

I used Subscribe and Save a TON when we had babies. With Amazon, you can subscribe to diaper and wipe delivery and you also get 20% off. I never ran out of diapers! Switching sizes was simple, too. I still use subscribe and save today for packing tape for my small business (don’t want to run out of that!), some snacks the kids eat frequently, and have used it for toilet paper and other household items, too!

Kindle First Reads

Because I’m a prime member, each month Amazon sends out Kindle First Reads: a list of about five books. I can choose one for free and have it delivered to my Kindle. I love this because it means I always have something on my reading list without making a trip to the library. Pro tip: even if you don’t have a Kindle, you can get a free Kindle app on your smartphone!

Becky
Becky grew up in Iowa and moved to Waukee in 2009 after she and her husband, Russ, settled into teaching jobs in the Metro. She and Russ have been married since June 2006 and have three boys, Henry (2010), Wesley (2013), and Calvin (2015). She teaches in Waukee and loves the small town feel that one of the fastest growing zip codes in the U.S. has to offer. For fun, Becky enjoys spending time with her boys, blogging at ByBMG, keeping up with fashion and make-up, making crafts that can be accomplished in a nap time, and “vacations” to Target.
