With each child I have, I become braver, more confident, comfortable and responsible. I recently decided it was time to use those new gifts and start something new. I was ready to do something for me, and earn a little fun money too. And so began my business as an Independent Consultant for Thirty-One Gifts.
What is Thirty-One?
Thirty-One is a faith-based company founded by a mom, Cindy Monroe, who wanted to spend more time with her family. She created Thirty-One to provide functional, fashionable products as well as provide an outstanding opportunity for women to own their own business. Thirty-one celebrates, encourages and rewards women for who they are.

Each consultant is encouraged to think about their “why”. Why am I starting a business? Why do I want to be a consultant? I want to be a consultant for the products I can earn, the people I can meet, the fact that I get to “party for a living”. But, I also want to be a consultant to earn some fun money for our family. I want to be able to go out and do more things in this city. Worry more about the memory making, and less about the cost of every.little.thing. And who doesn’t need a little “me time”?? For me, this was the right time in my life and the perfect mentor, Sarah Farnsworth. She makes everything look easy and her Thirty-One business is no different!

I can tell you all of the ways that Thirty-One has blessed my life in just the short 6 weeks that I’ve been a part of it. Including, but certainly not limited to: I feel more organized, I’ve been able to “party” with some besties that I rarely see, my checkbook is a little happier and I’ve come out of this haze of motherhood a bit. It’s easy to get lost in that and to lose our identity, but becoming a consultant for Thirty-One has given me a duty outside of raising my babies. As Sarah says, that’s ok. It’s ok to have something for yourself.
