We are honored to share an amazing local mom and musician with you. Singer/songwriter Jessa Anderson‘s third album, Whole, released this week. We are excited for you to hear from this sweet-spirited mama and encourage you to check out her remarkable music.

Hello, Mamas! Today I’m excited to have the opportunity to introduce myself, and my music, to those of you I haven’t met. My name is Jessa Anderson. I’m a wife to Jordan and mom to two crazy, beautiful little ones. Lorelei is three and a half, and little brother Jagger just turned one (and how quickly that year went)! I’m a singer/songwriter living in Nashville, Tennessee, and touring with my family full-time. My husband grew up in the Des Moines area, and we have the chance to visit every few months, so Des Moines is something of a second home for us as we travel so frequently!
My third album, Whole, released this week, and I am beyond excited to share it with you. As a mom, I know the struggle of finding music you love, music that moves you, that is also family friendly. As a wife, friend, daughter, woman… I know how hard it can be to find music that addresses life’s issues without glossing over them or wrapping up every song in three minutes with a neatly tied bow on top. It’s hard to find music that encourages us, yet stays true to the challenges of life. With these 10 songs, I have done my best to create an album that will do those things.
I am passionate about making music that people will love, that will draw them in as a listener, and that will hopefully draw them closer to God and to one another. I have seen the power of living in community with others who will stand by us as we navigate life’s rough patches, and celebrate with us when the joys and victories come. The songs on Whole are an outpouring of my heart as I worship, love those around me, struggle through painful times, watch loved ones deal with things like divorce and heartache, and learn more about who God is. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to share this music, and I hope you will find some of yourself as you listen!
