lisa acheson headshotLisa Acheson sought out yoga in an effort to cope with severe headaches she’s experienced the majority of her life, and in return discovered a means to help her be the very best version of herself. Last year Lisa knew it was time for her to pursue her passion and help others develop a personal yoga practice so they too could experience the transformational benefits, and eagerly made the switch from full-time corporate marketer to full-time yoga teacher.

A personal yoga practice provides students the mechanisms needed for self-study and discovery. When we work towards discovering who we really are, we can more easily live our lives in an authentic manner. This allows us to excel as parents, partners, co-workers, community members, and more.

Lisa is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher and Level 3 Certified Adamantine® Yoga teacher currently teaching classes, Monday through Saturday, in a charming studio located in the Beaverdale neighborhood of Des Moines.

Practice for Transformation

Lisa teaches Adamantine® Yoga via Guided Self-Practice (GSP) classes, in which practitioners move through their own individualized sequence while in the support of a group setting. Adamantine® Yoga offers students an empowering practice that not only refines physical strength and flexibility, but serves as a moving meditation to help focus and clear the mind.

Guided Self-Practice offers a consistent opportunity to practice within the support and accountability of your teacher and peers. Consistency is the key to progression in yoga, and with your own Adamantine® Yoga practice, you are empowered to practice at GSP, but also at home or on the road when you’re unable to make it to class.

Guided Self-Practice allows students to practice a balanced sequence that fits their own unique abilities and receive individualized guidance from the teacher. Students also have an increased opportunity to focus their attention inward as they move and breathe on their own.
