Rachel’s Story
I am Rachel Anderson, an Iowa native married to my best friend for twelve years and mom to three littles. I found Beautycounter in October of 2014 at a time when I desperately needed healthier options for my family. My youngest spent the first three years of his life terribly sick with severe asthma and allergies. We spent more time in the doctors office, ER, and hospital than any person should, and the doctors could do nothing more. I lived in a constant state of fear because anything and everything could set him off — the car wash fumes that sent him to the ICU for 48 hours, the cat that cause his throat to close and a lengthy ER visit…. Nothing was safe. I decided that enough was enough and started to clean up our food and cleaning products, and we pursued natural methods of medicine, but I still struggled to find healthy personal care products for our family. Sorting through ingredients and trying to understand what is truly safe, that’s hard for the average person.
