Amwell: A Leading Telehealth Service That Makes Moms Lives Easier

2

Mother Taking Temperature Of Sick DaughterWe’re moms. We’re busy. We barely have time to shower. Let alone navigate everything when someone in the family gets sick!

What if you could connect quickly with health providers from home without even leaving the house? How would that give you peace of mind? Reassurance? And think of all that time waiting at the doctor’s office while your (now healthy) other children are also in your hands and you’re entertaining them all while you wait?

Introducing Amwell

Amwell_logo_RGB-ColorAmwell makes it easy for you to talk to providers, immediately, from home 24/7.  You don’t need to call ahead or wait for a provider – Simply visit americanwell.com or download our app.

With American Well, it’s really that simple.  Once you sign up, you’ll see a list of currently available doctors who are licensed in your state. Doctors can diagnose, treat and even prescribe – all over secure video. After your visit, you’ll receive a complete write up of what the doctor discussed and suggestions for treatment. If your doctor felt a prescription was needed, it will be waiting for you at your pharmacy!

Amwell is dedicated to providing users with high quality, Board Certified, licensed care (doctors, nutritionists, dietitians, psychologists, therapists and social workers) over desktop/mobile video in under 2 minutes.

Benefits of Using Amwell

  • Amwell is here to help simplify your life, particularly when sickness strikes abruptly.
  • Amwell is convenient (i.e., healthcare on your time and schedule)
  • Amwell is cost-effective at $49 per visit (i.e., cheaper than a trip to your local urgent care clinic [ ~$70-$85] or the ER [>$150])
  • Amwell provides quality care that you can trust (i.e., all doctors are licensed to practice and prescribe in your state, 4.5-5 star ratings, 10+ years of experience).

How It Works

The process is so simple and easy! Via your computer/tablet or mobile device via their App, simply

1. Enroll

2. Select a Doctor

3. See a Doctor

Your conversation with your doctor will last about 10 minutes. That’s how long it takes to handle most problems, but of course you can add time if you need to. Doctors can review your history, answer questions, diagnose, treat and even prescribe medication. And your prescriptions will be sent straight to your pharmacy.

  1. I typically don’t mind sponsored posts on this blog too much…especially because typically one of the moms has at least used the service and can vouch for it (even those it isn’t entirely unbiased as they didn’t pay for it). However this post doesn’t have any added value from a “it really works – I’ve tried it” perspective..it’s just an ad that would be on any website/flyer, etc.

My two cents — if there have to be “ads”, please at least try it out first (even if it’s sponsored), so we can get a “read mom’s opinion”. Thanks!
